Starting his Martial Arts career back in 1999 Sensei Steven Wong started learning Judo at the Beach Judokwai Club in Blackburn. After learning various throwing, locking and ground fighting techniques Steven decided that he felt limited by not learning any striking techniques.
Not long after in the same year of 1999 Steven started learning kickboxing at the well respected Blackburn Martial Arts and Kickboxing Club. It was here that Steven found his general fitness, flexibility and fighting skills really take shape. Steven then made the decision to drop Judo and continue with Kickboxing as he found the style more practical as both a self defence and fitness sport. He trainined at the club five days a week for several years.
In 2003 Steven gained his Blackbelt in Kickboxing at the Blackburn Martial Arts and Kickboxing Club and in 2005 became an NVQ qualified Martial Arts Coach.
Throughout his University life Steven continued both teaching kicboxing and trying out various other Martial Arts such as Kung Fu and Taekwondo taking from the lessons various techniques and training methods including both striking and blocking.
In 2007 when Steven moved to Burnley he started learning Wado Ryu Karate under Sensei Tony Glass. He competed twice in the mens free weight points fighting catergory coming first in one competition and second in the other.
In 2013 Steven decided to set up his very own Kickboxing club in Burnley so he can teach all the skills he has learnt and has a dream of training a World Champion.
In January 2014 Steven travelled to Thailand to further his skills by training Muay Thai.

In June 2014 Steven successfully completed an Insanity Instructor course and because a part of the Insanity Pro Team.
In October 2016 Steven achieved the rank of 2nd Dan black belt in kickboxing.
In 2018 Dragons Kickboxing relocated to a much bigger and better premises.
In 2023 Dragons Kickboxing Club was awarded Club of the year and Steven was awarded coach of the year
